Tips on using Interlibrary Loan

If the JBU Library does not have full text access to a book or article, you may see a link in the database that says Request Interlibrary Loan. If you need a resource that we can't provide immediately, we will try to find another library that has it that will provide it for you to use. 

A few things you should know about interlibrary loan (ILL):

  • If it's your first time using ILL at JBU, you'll need to fill out your profile after you click on the link, then go back to the database and click the link again to place the order for the specific item.
  • ILL requests typically take 2-4 business days for articles and 1-2 weeks for books, although the exact time varies depending on the lending library.
